How to Get More Likes on Your Facebook Business Page
Starting a Facebook Business Page is a great way to build brand awareness and connect with current and potential customers. Your Facebook page can be used to drive inbound traffic to your website, which is then turned into leads that we nurture to create customers.
One of the most challenging aspects to building your Facebook Business Page is earning a quality audience. This means customers that actually have an interest in what your company sells. Here are 9 ways to earn more likes for your Facebook business page.
1. Fill out Your Entire Profile
You might be surprised at the number of businesses on Facebook that do not have a complete profile. You should include information that is not only helpful but searchable. All of the content on your Facebook Business Page is indexed by search engines, which helps attract more fans to your page.
That being said, do not go on a keyword-stuffing rampage. Spend time optimizing each section with appropriate keywords for your company. For example, your About section should include a brief overview of what you offer, and explanation of your company, and a link to your website.
2. Add Like Boxes to Your Website and Blog
One of your goals as a social media marketer should be to make your Facebook Business Page as discoverable as possible. One way to do this is to add a social plugin to your website or blog that allows people to “like” your page without having to navigate to Facebook’s website.
3. Promote on Other Social Networks
Be sure to add links to your Facebook profile on your other networks like Twitter and LinkedIn. It’s okay to occasionally tweet about your Facebook Business Page asking Twitter followers to connect. Just be strategic about it and avoid spamming your other audience.
4. Promote Offline
If you have a physical storefront, promote your Facebook Business page inside on receipts or store windows. Put your link on printed flyers, coupons, business cards, and more.
5. Invite Contacts to Like Your Page
It never hurts to ask your friends and family members to like your business page. But again, be cautious of over-promoting. You can also upload a list of email contacts and invite them via Facebook.
6. Ask Employees to Like Your Page
Employees can help boost numbers and build interaction. Encourage them to like, share, and comment on your content and ask their own friends and family to like the page as well.
7. Be Active
To continue to grow your audience, you need to keep updating your page. This doesn’t just mean posting good content, it also means monitoring your presence and interacting with fans. Ask questions and create discussions.
8. Post Valuable Content
Speaking of posting on a regular basis, also make sure what your posting is relevant and useful to your fans. One good post won’t be enough. You need to consistently publish helpful information so your fans view you as a valuable resource.
9. Consider Advertising
Facebook Advertising is a great way to grow your audience quickly. If you have the budget for it, incorporate some paid advertising into your Facebook Business Page strategy.
