Cross-promotion is important. Here’s one way to connect Pinterest and Facebook.
If you’ve watched any of my digital marketing training sessions on our YouTube Channel, like Getting Started on Social Media, you know that I believe cross promoting your marketing is essential to reach your digital audience.
It’s more than just promoting a similar message across multiple digital marketing channels. You also need to cross promote within your channels. This is especially true when we talk about social media. Sharing the same content across all of your networks helps maximize your ability to reach all of your followers and fans.
One way to connect your Pinterest account with your Facebook account is to add a Tab or App to your Facebook Page. This simple, 8-step guide will walk you through adding the Pinterest Tab.
First, log in to your Facebook Business Page.
In the top search bar, type in “Pinterest” and select the option at the bottom that says “Find all apps named ‘pinterest.'” If this doesn’t exist, choose “See more results…” at the bottom and select Apps from the left-hand side on the next page.
This is the App you’re searching for – PInterest Page App. To install, click the Use Now button.
Select your Facebook page from the list and click Add Page Tab. (Note: You may have to switch to your personal account first.)
You should know see the Pinterest tab at the top. To link the tab to your Pinterest account, click on “Configure Page Tab.”
When promoted, allow Woobox to manage your pages. You may also need to allow Woobox to see your personal profile.
To customize your tab, enter your business’s Pinterest URL in the Pinterest Username box and click Save Settings.
You’re done! You should see your Pinterest tab and your boards in the box below.
